We are Gold Bridge Partners, Inc. A custom software development shop with a heart for innovation. Please see our website for more information. www.gbpi.net. Personnel in central Maine, Florida, Vermont, Texas and on occasion where ever the weather is warm. This particular project was born out of a need for a simple way to publish a website. We have found many website development applications, some very good and some very bad. This project was launched to give anyone with a phone and SMS (text) capabilities the ability to publish a website. We understand that most people do this type of thing on a computer but we still feel there is a need to be able to publish information that can be accessed easly by groups of people. A simple example of this might be a local school has homework assignments that need to be published. This product could offer a teacher the ability to publish homework assignments from his or her phone. This is just one idea, but you can see the product could have many uses. We recently experienced a hurricane and millions on the east coast without power. As I was listening to the TV, yes I said TV. It was in a restaurant where power had been restored, the power company commentator said, “all the clients have to do is to visit our website and……”. Now it didn’t take a genius to figure out that if you don’t have power you cannot operate your computer, but in the power companies defence, they must have had generators so they didn’t even think about the client experience. I concluded that most people had a cell phone with SMS or text ability and a plug that conveniently fits their car. Most people were using their phones during the hurricane. So we at GBPI said, “lets develop a tool that can be used by power company clients to determine when the power would be restored or even to report an outage”. Now keep in mind that many people these days have fancy phones that are wireless. Wait did I say wireless, well for the most part. You see the phone base needs a wire unlike the old style phones that simply plugged into the phone jack. My point is that the phones no longer work. Our cell phones are the only hope in this type of situtation. Hence, txt2web was born. Now we feel that there are many uses for this product and hope you will call us to assist you with your issue or business solution. Our team has more than 200 applications for this product. We can be reached at 207 623-8200. Just ask for the txt2web client department.
